Stephen Kenney is the Vice President - Strategic Planning for Huntley & Huntley, Inc. – a privately owned, Oil & Gas exploration company in Monroeville, PA. Mr. Kenney is responsible for all corporate development initiatives necessary to achieve the newly contemplated growth and expansion objectives set forth by the current owners.Throughout his career, he directly led the strategic analyses and valuations of $12.5 billion in acquisition or divestiture transactions.
Mr. Kenney has significant experience in developing strategic plans that require detailed financial modeling, analysis and planning to arrive at sound capital allocation and budgeting decisions.Prior to joining Huntley, Stephen Kenney was a Managing Director of Headwaters SC. Mr. Kenney supported client engagements by leveraging his experiences as both a corporate development executive with a Fortune 500 Energy company and as an investment banker. Prior to joining Headwaters, Mr. Kenney served in several positions of increasing responsibility with CONSOL Energy, Inc., a Fortune 500 company, between 2007 and 2013.In his last position with the company, he was Vice President of Strategic Planning with CONSOL Energy, Inc.
In this position, he was responsible for all strategic initiatives, investment decisions, economic valuations, capital budgets, risk management evaluations, market analyses and petroleum reserves estimations.From 2006 to 2007, he was an investment banker with Citigroup working with teams that covered the industrial and consumer product sectors.Between 1997 and 2006, Mr. Kenney served as an Officer in the United States Navy.
As a Naval Flight Officer, he completed three deployments assigned to the carrier-based squadron VS-22. Following his final deployment, where he completed missions in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, he served as an Associate Professor of Naval Science at Carnegie Mellon University.
Mr. Kenney completed his M.B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University and his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy. Originally from River Edge NJ, located just outside of New York City, he currently resides in Canonsburg, PA.
