Paul David Burke, Esquire
Mr. Burke earned his undergraduate degrees (BS & BA) from Kent State University and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh. His responsibilities cover the spectrum of legal and business matters that arise with the operations of an exploration and production company.
These matters include, among other things, aspects of leasing, finance, contracts, regulatory compliance, acquisitions, disputes, and general business operations.Prior to joining Huntley, Mr. Burke was a founding member of the law firm Sherrard, German & Kelly, P.C., which is a leading regional firm based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. During his thirty-plus years in private practice, his experience included, in addition to oil and gas/natural resources development, commercial finance, general business, creditor rights and commercial litigation. While in private practice, he represented both privately-held and public E&P companies involving sums in excess of $7 billion.
Mr. Burke is a member of the American Bar Association (Environmental and Energy Section), the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Allegheny County Bar Association. He is also a member (Chair 2016-2017) of the legal committee of the Marcellus Shale Coalition. He is a native of Western Pennsylvania and currently resides in Murrysville, Pennsylvania.
